After my last visit to the Netherlands, I wrote an interior design shopping itinerairy for the city of Haarlem and in this article I would like to come back to the beautiful store My Deer’s. As I said earlier, I fell in love with this store, do you think that’s possible?

My Deer Art Shop and My Deer’s were founded by Dutch artist, interior designer and entrepreneur Maaike Koster.
In 2014, Maaike decided to pursue what she had always loved, interior design and painting inspired by nature. As a result, the online My Deer Art Shop store was born. Here she sells her beautiful artwork, posters and botanical postcards.
Following the success of My Deer Art Shop, Maaike opened the My Deer’s boutique two years later in one of the beautiful streets of the city of Haarlem. She describes this unexpected store as “a green space where people can feel at home”.
This lifestyle and interior design store offers a carefully selected assortment of artwork, plants, design, jewelry, ceramics, books and interior products. All high quality, beautifully designed and of fair trade brands.

Can you fall in love with a store?
Sounds crazy, right?
But really, I was so charmed by this shop. There’s a feeling of calm and absolute beauty that I can’t describe in words.
It’s obviously the selection of products and plants that are atthe heart of this wonderful sensation, but also there’s the way of decorating the store that oozes a certain balance. There is nothing superfluous and the way of presenting all products is just perfect.
Since I was flying home (and with a low-cost company at that), I couldn’t buy one of the big beautiful botanical prints. So I made do with a few lovely postcards, big enough to be framed.
I’ll probably talk to Santa about ordering a big print in the online My Deer Art Shop.
